Ugandan singer Alien Skin has responded to speculation about his retirement from music, clarifying that he is not quitting but rather taking a step back to focus on other ventures.
During his recently concluded concert, Alien Skin made headlines when he announced that he would be stepping away from active music engagements. His statement quickly sparked discussions among fans and industry stakeholders, with many speculating whether the Sitya Danger hitmaker was officially ending his music career.

However, in a new interview with Sanyuka TV, Alien Skin dismissed claims that he was retiring. Instead, he explained that he intends to slow down his musical commitments to create space for other business endeavors.
“I am not quitting music, but I’ll be taking it slow. I want to be able to get time to do many other things and also live my life to the fullest,” Alien Skin stated during the interview.
He further elaborated that his recent concert marked a shift in his career. Having established himself as a major force in Uganda’s music industry, he believes he has moved beyond the category of “rising stars” and into the ranks of legends. This transition allows him to take a more relaxed approach to his musical career.
Alien Skin revealed that going forward, he will significantly reduce the number of his live performances. He plans to hold only two major concerts annually—his personal concert and the highly anticipated Nkwacho Festival. Additionally, he might consider performing on special occasions such as public holidays and festive seasons, depending on fan demand.
While he did not disclose specific details about the businesses he intends to focus on, sources close to the singer suggest that he has interests in various ventures, including merchandise branding and event promotion.
Alien Skin’s decision has been met with mixed reactions from fans. Some support his move, acknowledging that he has already cemented his place in the industry, while others worry that his absence might create a gap in Uganda’s entertainment scene.
Despite these concerns, Alien Skin assured his supporters that he remains committed to the music industry, even if at a different pace.
