Kampala, Uganda – Ugandan musician Alien Skin, real name Mulwana Patrick, has voiced deep concerns over his personal safety after security authorities allegedly rejected his request for protection, including an application for a firearm. In a recent phone interview, the Fangone Forest boss recounted a harrowing near-death experience following a violent attack in Iganga, where he had performed at a Women’s Day event.

Alien Skin revealed that after the attack—which left his car damaged and his face injured—he appealed to security organs for assistance but was met with indifference. “They almost killed me, and that is nothing compared to what we go through. I try so much to stay alive because I know even when I cry for help, they will not listen to me, claiming I’m the instigator always,” he lamented.
He further questioned why his request for a gun was dismissed, asking, “Are all the people with guns in Uganda more important than me? Why are they treating me like I’m nothing?” Alien Skin’s frustration is compounded by the perception that authorities downplay his security concerns due to his public persona and outspoken style.
The artist, who has risen from humble beginnings in Kansanga to become a major force in Uganda’s music scene, promised to “unleash the worst version” of himself once he recovers, highlighting the emotional toll the incident has taken on him.
