Moses Ssali, better known as Bebe Cool, has ignited debate in Uganda’s music scene with his bold declaration that fans and critics alike will “listen to my album by force.” During a recent TikTok Live session, Bebe Cool addressed mounting criticism and skepticism around his upcoming album, “Break the Chains,” promising a relentless, year-long promotional campaign to ensure the album is heard everywhere.

The Gagamel boss, famous for his confrontational style, stated, “You will listen to my album by force. I will force it on you. I have seen those ones calling me out over the few songs released but I will force it. I will do different media tours even if it calls for a year just to promote that album”. This declaration comes as he prepares to release “Break the Chains” on May 30, 2025, an album he believes will unlock the international market for Ugandan music.
The project, recorded in Nigeria and mixed in South Africa, features a fresh Afrobeats sound and collaborations with rising stars like Joshua Baraka, marking a deliberate shift to align with current African music trends. Bebe Cool has already released two singles, “Circumference” and “Motivation,” both of which have been praised for their new direction and production quality
