Emerging Ugandan singer Gloria Bugie has responded to criticism regarding her music, firmly stating that she is not leaving the industry despite negative comments from some individuals. Over time, some critics have questioned her talent, with some even comparing her music to the sounds from greeting cards.

In an interview with a local television station, Gloria Bugie made it clear that she is here to stay and intends to prove her critics wrong. She pointed out that Uganda has a culture of discouraging emerging artists, but she refuses to be deterred.

"I will prove critics wrong because I will remain here and continue to dominate the industry. They always want to discourage people, but I am not going anywhere; I will continue making music. I pity those who believe I will shy away, and I advise them to join me and contribute positively to the music industry," she confidently stated.

Apart from addressing criticism about her music, Gloria Bugie also touched on her fashion choices, stating that she will not be changing her dress code anytime soon. She emphasized that her clothing style is a personal choice and one that makes her feel comfortable and confident.

The singer also noted that she is one of the most frequently booked artists in Uganda, proving that her music is well-received by many fans. On Valentine’s Day, she performed at over ten different shows across Kampala, reinforcing her argument that her presence in the industry is growing stronger.

Despite the criticism, Gloria Bugie remains resolute in her pursuit of success in the Ugandan music industry and is determined to make an impact.
