Ugandan singer Liam Voice has disclosed that his 2024 single “Cry Baby,” in collaboration with DJ MagicTouchUg, was inspired by none other than Eddy Kenzo, Uganda’s celebrated musician and president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation.

In a recent media interview, Liam Voice explained that the song playfully references Kenzo’s emotional nature, noting that the BET Award winner is known for shedding tears easily—even over seemingly minor issues. “Kenzo cries too easily, by the way. Just something small, and tears run down his face,” Liam remarked candidly.
Despite the teasing tone, Liam stood firmly behind his statement, emphasizing that his portrayal of Kenzo as a “cry baby” was lighthearted and not meant to offend. The track “Cry Baby” has since sparked conversations among fans and industry insiders about the emotional side of Uganda’s top musicians.
