The Faith of Unity has handed over a donation worth shs 800m to the government of Uganda aimed at boosting disaster relief to affected people in Kiteezi Landfill slide .
Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka the leader and founder of the Faith of Unity with its base in Kapyemi Kagadi District has donated items in the presence of the Third Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda Hon. Rukia Isanga Nakaddama who represented the government at the event, the Minister of Kampala Metropolitan Hon. Minsa Kabanda, the dean of RDCs and the RDC of Wakiso, Justin Mbabazi.
On Tuesday, in Wakiso at Kiteezi, Owobusobozi Bisaka thanked the president Museveni and the government of Uganda for the peace and freedom that has paved ways to the believers of the Faith of Unity to work hard and it is the reasons as to why they have come up as the Faith to extend a relief to the affected people of Kiteezi.
The Items delivered include 50 tonnes of cassava, 18 tonnes of ground nets , 6 tonnes and 600 kgs of rice, Cows Worth 10 millions, 18 tonnes of Maize flour, 30 tonnes of Cassava flours among others.
The Third Deputy Prime Minister, who also doubles as the minister of Kampala, Hon Rukia Isanga Nakaddama appreciated Owobusobozi Bisaka for the massive donation for Kiteezi people, citing assurance on behalf of government that Kiteezi people will soon be given land on where they are going to resettle and also that government ready not to stop supporting them in any possible condition.
