Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo, the leader of House of Prayer Ministries International, has announced an ambitious plan to build multiple mega-churches, dubbed “Pentagons,” across Uganda. The move aims to accommodate the rapidly growing number of worshippers attending his religious gatherings in different regions.

Speaking in an interview with YouTube content creator Ibrah K Mukasa, Pastor Bujjingo emphasized the need for larger worship spaces, citing overwhelming turnouts at his events in districts like Mbale, Fort Portal, and Busoga. “You saw our congregation in Mbale; the venue was too small for everyone. Doesn’t Mbale need a Pentagon? And in Busoga, our gathering was immense—doesn’t that area deserve a Pentagon?” he questioned.

The pastor’s first major project, a gigantic church in Makerere, Kikoni, also named “Pentagon,” is still under construction, having faced financial constraints. However, he remains determined to complete it and expand to other regions.

Bujjingo’s vision aligns with his long-standing mission to provide accessible places of worship for all believers. “God should help us finish the first Pentagon. We need more of them across the country,” he stated.

The plan has received mixed reactions, with supporters praising his dedication while critics question the feasibility of such large-scale developments. Nonetheless, Bujjingo remains steadfast in his commitment to realizing this grand vision.
