Tensions flared in Iganga District on Saturday night as celebrated Ugandan singer Alien Skin became the target of a violent attack allegedly sparked by political disagreements.
The artist, known for leading the Fangone Forest Entertainment brand and his raw, street-inspired music style, was performing at the belated Women’s Day commemoration when violence erupted. While Alien Skin’s performance was highly praised — with videos showing an energetic crowd chanting his name — the aftermath quickly overshadowed the festivities.

According to eyewitness accounts, a group linked to the National Unity Platform (NUP) reportedly ambushed Alien Skin and his crew after the performance. Shocking video clips circulating on social media show chaos as people attacked the artist’s vehicle, smashing windows and damaging the bodywork beyond immediate repair.
Sources suggest the attack may have been fueled by ongoing political animosities, with Alien Skin allegedly criticized for not publicly aligning himself with NUP or Bobi Wine, despite his mass popularity among youth — many of whom are NUP supporters.

Alien Skin sustained a notable head injury, evident in pictures shared privately with this website, showing blood and bandaging. His team members, though sustaining minor injuries, managed to escape serious harm.
The Iganga District Police have confirmed they are pursuing leads and reviewing video footage. Meanwhile, the incident has sparked mixed reactions online — some netizens condemned the violence, calling it “thuggery in politics,” while others bizarrely praised the attackers for “disciplining” the artist.
Alien Skin has yet to issue a public statement regarding the incident, but his fanbase under the Fangone Forest Army umbrella is demanding justice.
