Robert Sekidde, better known by his stage name Tuff B, is brimming with confidence as he seeks the National Unity Platform (NUP) endorsement to contest for the Makindye East parliamentary seat.
In a televised interview, Tuff B boldly stated that it is “impossible” for him to miss out on the NUP ticket, citing his strong support base on the ground and the party’s ideology that places decision-making power firmly in the hands of the electorate.

"The ticket is in the hands of the people, and they are the ones who decide, and it will be me," Tuff B said.
Tuff B also disclosed that he held discussions with NUP president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, who welcomed him to the party but made it clear that winning the party flag would depend entirely on grassroots support.
"I have had several meetings with the party president, and he shared these words with me: 'Tuff B, I welcome you and have long recognized that you stand with us in the same struggle. However, I’m not the one who decides; it’s the people who decide,'" Tuff B narrated.
Currently, Tuff B faces a tough contest against incumbent MP Nyeko Derrick and Moses Sendi, known to many as Mr. Mosh, both of whom also enjoy considerable support within the constituency.
Makindye East, a key constituency in Kampala, is expected to see a highly charged race as the NUP primary elections draw closer.
