A fresh twist has emerged in the long-running questions surrounding the children of the late Kadongo Kamu legend Job Paul Kafeero.

State Minister for Gender, Labour and Social Development in charge of Youth and Children Affairs Balaam Barugahara has stepped in, saying he wants the truth about the late singer’s family settled once and for all.

Kafeero was my friend. I am going to help his children and ensure we establish who truly belongs to him and who does not.

He has directed all those claiming to be Kafeero’s children to present themselves on April 30 for DNA testing, a move aimed at clearing years of uncertainty.

The debate over Kafeero’s real heirs has lingered for a long time, often sparking doubt and public discussion. Now, the focus shifts to scientific proof.

Still, the move has split opinion. Some see it as overdue action, while others question whether a public official should lead such a process.

As the date nears, the outcome could finally bring clarity to one of the most debated parts of Kafeero’s legacy.
