In the days leading up to April 11, a quiet but persistent buzz swept across Kampala. It moved subtly through university campuses, bars, and group chats, fueled by curiosity and deliberate secrecy. There was no full lineup, no heavy promotion—just whispers centered around one intriguing name: Club Canvas.
Marketed as “the new club in town,” the concept thrived on exclusivity. With invite-only access, ordinary nights out were transformed into coveted experiences. Strategic activations—from Fundas in Nakawa to Makerere University and Mukono—served as unconventional entry points, building intrigue with every stop. By the time the final activation reached Clarke International University in Muyenga, anticipation had reached a peak. Kampala was watching closely.
Then Saturday arrived—and with it, the reveal.
Muyenga Quarry transformed into a vibrant entertainment hub as Club Canvas: Vibe Pon Di Vibe delivered an immersive, high-energy experience that blended music, lifestyle, and interactive fun. Revellers began streaming in as early as 4 PM, settling in with cold drinks as the venue steadily filled with an eager and stylish crowd.
The quarry’s raw, expansive setting proved to be more than just a venue—it became a defining feature of the event. Its unique atmosphere added an edge that set Club Canvas apart from Kampala’s typical nightlife scene.
But the experience extended far beyond music.
Across the grounds, guests engaged with game zones and PlayStation stations, while a variety of food vendors ensured no one went hungry. The result was a festival-like atmosphere, where entertainment came from every corner of the venue.
Still, it was the performances that anchored the night.
Zagazilions kicked things off with a vibrant opening set that immediately connected with the audience. From there, the energy only climbed higher. Fyno UG, Tojjo 256, Expect Xhavi, and Dreadlazer each delivered electrifying performances, keeping the crowd engaged and constantly moving. Aaronx emerged as one of the standout acts of the night, drawing loud cheers and commanding attention with his stage presence.
Seamless transitions between performers created a continuous wave of sound and excitement, ensuring there was never a dull moment.
Behind the decks, the DJs played a crucial role in maintaining the momentum. DJ Yemi, DJ Vanss, DJ Ames, DJ Harold, and DJ Trizzy Vybz each brought their unique sound, blending genres and tempos to keep the dancefloor alive well into the night. Viana Indi kept the crowd hyped, setting the stage perfectly before Kohen Jayce took over and elevated the energy even further.
As the night stretched into the early hours, DJ Roja stepped in for the grand finale. His high-energy set delivered a powerful closing moment, pushing the crowd into one last explosive surge and sealing the night on a memorable high.
What began as a mysterious, low-key campaign ultimately unfolded into one of the most talked-about events of the weekend. With Vibe Pon Di Vibe, Club Canvas didn’t just introduce itself—it made a bold and unforgettable statement on Kampala’s entertainment scene.
